I’ve always striven to be the best I can be, but not at the expense of others. Writing is an isolating activity, which is why I try to meet with other writers. It’s great to get some feedback and encourage others along their path.
Lately, I was telling my friend about a really great writing workshop. I am applying, and suggested she should, too. At first, she said she could never go. Too many people depending on her for this and that.
I got an email from her last night. Maybe she should go for it. I wrote back and told her I’d love to go to the workshop with her. I hope she does. It would be so great to go, become better writers, and maybe even get published! Dare I say—become best-selling authors?
Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about me. Or you. It’s about all of us. Sometimes influencing others inspires us to our best works, both on and off the page. Let’s inspire each other!
