Fly On The Wall

When I write, I feel like a fly on the wall.  I spy on other people in another world, recording their conversations, their thoughts, their actions.  They are as real in my mind’s eye as the people I encounter when I stand on line in the grocery store.

I recently spoke with a few other writers, and to my surprise, they shared the same experience.  I have encountered few.  In my creative writing classes, my fellow students hadn’t.

So as a writer, it’s my mission to let the readers lose themselves in this world that I sometimes wonder if I’ve created or simply discovered.  I want them to be able to feel the sun on their face, hear the crunch of gravel under a horse’s hooves…well, you get the idea.

I’m so excited about this world, I look forward to the writing.  When it’s finally fully “baked” I am anticipating offering it to readers to devour!
